Belief in Jesus is not lip service

The call on the Jews to believe was not the same call for the Pagans to believe because the Jews already believed in God and followed Moses and the Prophets

Romans 10:9-12 ASV
(9) because if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as [is] Lord [YHWH in Hebrew], and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved:
(10) for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 8:24 ASV
(24) I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for except ye believe that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

THE JEWS WERE ONLY TO BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS YHWH GOD, THE NEW MEANS OF ATONEMENT FOR SINS, AND THAT HE WAS RISEN. THEY WERE ALREADY KEEPING ALL THE LAW.
