Myth: We won't need Jesus if we become holy

Considering the commandment of holiness in Leviticus 20:7-8 and elsewhere, Jesus wants us to be holy by default because He is holy.
It cannot be that we go for the lie of the respected but disguised ministers of Satan that if we become holy we do not need Jesus.

Leviticus 20:7-8 ASV

(7) Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am Jehovah your God.
(8) And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you.

Matthew 16:24 ASV
(24)  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

1 Peter 1:13-16 ASV
(13)  Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (14)  as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance: (15)  but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living; (16)  because it is written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy.
